Can I change the number or message later?
No. A static SMS code fixes your number and text in the pattern, so edits require a new code. For a number you can update, route people to a dynamic business page instead.
Can I track how many people scanned?
No. The code opens the messaging app directly with no tracking step, so there are no scan counts. Use a dynamic redirect code if you need analytics.
Does the text send by itself?
No. It opens a pre-filled draft and the sender taps send, so they choose whether to message you.
Will it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Both read the SMS format and open a new message to your number with the text prefilled.
Do senders pay for the message?
Standard SMS rates from their carrier apply, just like any text they send. There's no extra cost from the code itself.

Questions to answer before publishing
- Will the information change? If it might, choose a dynamic type instead; this static payload cannot be edited after printing.
- What should the printed instruction say? Describe the result of scanning in a few words rather than using “Scan me”.
- Does each placement need separate reporting? This static type has no Qrcado analytics.
- Has the final proof been tested? Check the real size, surface, lighting and mobile destination with more than one phone.
