How it works

Bring your domain in three steps

  1. Add your domain

Enter the subdomain you want your links to use, like links.yourbrand.com.

  2. Point a CNAME

Add the CNAME record we give you at your DNS provider, so traffic routes to us.

  3. Validate SSL

We issue and validate a certificate automatically, then your links go live over HTTPS.

Custom domain FAQ

How do I connect my domain?

Add a subdomain in Qrcado, create the CNAME record we provide at your DNS host, and we handle the rest once it propagates.

Do I need my own SSL certificate?

No. We issue and validate the certificate automatically, so your links are served securely over HTTPS.

Can I use my root domain?

A subdomain like links.yourbrand.com is recommended, since CNAME records aren't valid at a bare root domain on most DNS providers.

Will existing codes switch to the new domain?

New dynamic codes use your domain. Whether existing ones migrate depends on how they were created, so check before repointing a printed run.

Is a custom domain on every plan?

It's a plan-limited feature. See the pricing page for which plans include a custom domain and how many.

A sensible rollout

  • Choose a dedicated subdomain such as qr.example.com.
  • Complete TXT and CNAME verification.
  • Let Qrcado provision edge TLS and then test both the short link and redirect.

Questions before enabling custom domain

  • Which repeated task or control problem is this feature meant to solve?
  • Who owns the configuration after the first campaign launches?
  • Which plan limit or permission affects the rollout?
  • What should happen when a destination, member, domain or subscription changes?
  • How will the team test the complete scan path before printing?
