How it works

Build a coupon QR code in three steps

  1. Write the offer

Set the discount, add an expiry date, list the terms and drop in a barcode if the till needs one.

  2. Brand and print

Style the page with your colours and logo, then download a print-ready code for receipts, flyers or the counter.

  3. Publish and adjust

Shoppers scan to reveal the code; you tweak the discount or extend the date any time from your dashboard.

What's on the page

A discount page, not just a code

Tap to reveal

The code stays hidden until a shopper taps Reveal, which nudges them to act and keeps it from being copied at a glance.

Expiry and terms

Show a clear end date and the fine print together, so redemptions stay inside the rules you set.

Change the deal later

Swap 10% for 20%, extend the deadline or retire the offer — the printed code keeps pointing at the current page.

Coupon QR code FAQ

Can shoppers see the discount code before they scan?

No. The code stays hidden behind a Reveal button on the page, so it only appears once someone scans and taps to redeem.

Can I change the offer after I print the coupon?

Yes. The discount, expiry and terms all live on a hosted page, so you can edit them at any time and every printed code shows the update instantly.

Can I add an expiry date?

You can set an end date that appears on the page, which helps you run time-limited promos and keeps stale codes from being redeemed.

Does it work with a barcode at the till?

You can include an optional barcode on the page so staff can scan it at the register alongside the shown discount code.

Can I see how many people used the coupon?

Aggregate reporting shows scan totals over time, country and device. Use separate QR records to compare print placements.

Set it up with the print job in mind

  • Write one offer and one redemption rule in plain language.
  • Set the validity date and decide whether to show a barcode.
  • Place a different QR code on each channel when you need channel-level comparison.

Questions to answer before publishing

  • Will the information change? This dynamic type can be updated, but someone still needs to own the destination and review it.
  • What should the printed instruction say? Describe the result of scanning in a few words rather than using “Scan me”.
  • Does each placement need separate reporting? Create a different QR record for every placement that must be compared.
  • Has the final proof been tested? Check the real size, surface, lighting and mobile destination with more than one phone.
