Read a scan correctly
A scan shows attention. It does not automatically prove a purchase, review, registration or lead. Keep the destination system as the source of truth for the final conversion and use shared campaign naming to compare the two stages.
Country, device and time trends can help answer practical questions: which placement attracts attention, when usage peaks, and whether the mobile destination fits the devices people use.
Retention and plan limits
Scan history retention depends on your plan, with longer windows on higher tiers — the current limits are listed on the pricing page. If your reporting relies on long-range comparisons, export the data you care about periodically: CSV exports are yours to keep and are not affected by retention windows.
QR code analytics FAQ
What does Qrcado record when someone scans?
The scan itself plus coarse signals — time, approximate location derived from the IP (country/city level) and device type. Analytics are aggregate: no cookies are set for the person scanning and no advertising profiles are built.
Can I see who scanned my code?
No. You see how many scans happened, when, from where and on what kind of device — not the identity of the person scanning.
Do static QR codes have analytics?
No. A static code encodes the destination directly, so scans never pass through Qrcado. Use a dynamic code when you need scan tracking.
Can I export the data?
Yes — export your analytics to CSV and spreadsheet-friendly formats for reporting or further analysis.
How long is scan history kept?
It depends on your plan — from 30 days of history on the free tier up to unlimited history on Enterprise.
