Will the tags survive a factory floor?
The QR code is just artwork — print it on industrial label stock, laminate or metal plates so it holds up to oil, heat and washdowns. The code keeps working as long as it stays readable.
Can I update a manual without relabeling every machine?

Do operators need an app?
No. Any modern phone camera opens the linked page directly, so there's nothing to install on the floor.
Can each machine have its own code?
