How it works

Build your vCard code in three steps

  1. Fill in your details

Add your name, phone, email, company, job title and website — as much or as little as you like.

  2. Brand and export

Add a logo and colours, then download a print-ready file for cards, badges or signatures.

  3. Scan to save

Anyone how codes are used sees a New Contact card pre-filled and ready to save in seconds.

Why static vCard

A contact card the phone already understands

Opens the contact screen

iPhone and Android both read the format and offer to add every field at once.

No connection required

The details live in the code, so it saves a contact even with no signal.

Set for good once printed

Change jobs or numbers and you'll need a fresh code — static cards can't be updated or tracked.

vCard QR code FAQ

Can I update my details after printing?

No. A static vCard bakes your contact fields into the code, so new details mean a new code. If your number, title or role may change, use our dynamic vCard Plus, which is editable any time.

Can I measure scans of my card?

No. A static vCard saves straight to the phone without touching a server, so there are no scan stats. vCard Plus adds a trackable digital card page if you need that.

Which fields can I include?

Name, phone, email, company, job title and website are all supported. Keep it focused — fewer fields make a cleaner, easier-to-scan code.

Do people need an app to save the contact?

No. The vCard format is built into iOS and Android, so a normal camera scan brings up the contact card automatically.

Is there a limit on the details?

You can add all the standard fields, but very long entries make the pattern denser. Stick to the essentials for the most reliable scan.

Set it up with the print job in mind

  • Check the name, phone and email carefully.
  • Generate and scan a proof before printing a full run.
  • Create a new code whenever the contact details change.

Questions to answer before publishing

  • Will the information change? If it might, choose a dynamic type instead; this static payload cannot be edited after printing.
  • What should the printed instruction say? Describe the result of scanning in a few words rather than using “Scan me”.
  • Does each placement need separate reporting? This static type has no Qrcado analytics.
  • Has the final proof been tested? Check the real size, surface, lighting and mobile destination with more than one phone.
