Text QR code FAQ
Can I edit the text after I print the code?
No. A static text code stores the words inside the pattern, so changing them means generating and printing a new code. If you need editable content, encode a link with our dynamic website code instead.
Can I see how many times it was scanned?
No. Static text codes have nowhere to report to, so there are no scan counts, locations or analytics. For tracking, point people to a dynamic code that redirects through a short link.
How much text can one code hold?
A few hundred characters works comfortably. The more you add, the denser the pattern gets, so keep it short for reliable scanning on small prints.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The text is contained in the code itself, so any camera can read it back with no connection, app or account.
Is it really free?
Yes. Generating a text code costs nothing and there's no signup or expiry — the code keeps working as long as the print survives.

Questions to answer before publishing
